The range of RacingLine High-Flow Panel Air Filters for Golf 7 replaces the restrictive factory paper filters with an improved, high flow and reusable foam filter. The Panel Filter is one of the most cost-effective enhancements you can make to allow the engine to breathe better and operate more efficiently = improving engine efficiency, and hence power and fuel economy. By removing the inevitable restrictions that the standard paper panel filter gives, the Panel Filter allows an increase in airflow through to the turbo.
Result? More mid-range power and improved economy, without risking your warranty.
Our filters were developed for use in our racecars, some of which are required to run with the standard airbox under the regulations. So we needed to get the highest flow efficiency possible, but combined with the most effective levels of filtration from air-borne particulates. The result is the exact filter construction that we use in our race cars, but also one of the most popular and sensible modifications to make to your road car.
CONSTRUCTION
We use TriFoam triple-layer laminate of open-cell polyurethane foam, which gives an exceptionally high level of filtration to protect the engine from contaminants in the air down to well below 5 microns, giving the highest level of filtration to protect the engine. The foam we specify is the best in the market = exactly the same specification as used by certain well-known F1 teams. All our filters are hand-built in the UK. The triple foam layers are held in place by a stainless steel open mesh, surrounded by a rubber seal to provide an airtight seal against the standard airbox. There are of course cheaper, single-layer filters on the market. We’ve tried many of these over the years; but in our experience they do not combine satisfactory levels of flow and filtration = meaning a compromise for your engine (sometimes quite significant) for the sake of a small price difference.
PERFORMANCE
With this extra airflow, our tests have shown that the fitment of the Panel Filter can deliver an additional 15NM of torque on a standard 2.0TSI engine, thus making a small but worthwhile difference to the feeling of mid-range power of the car. With the improved efficiency, many customers have even noticed an improvement in fuel economy in normal driving. This filter complements Stage 1 Power Upgrades, together with our Exhaust Rear Section.

Can I return a product after install?
Once a product has been installed, used or fitted it is no longer returnable.
How long do I have to return a product?
Customers have 7 days inclusive from the day they receive their order to lodge a “Return Request” with ModsDirect. If the return form is approved (notification by email) the item must then be returned within 21 days. All returns must be trackable.
Please note that exchanges, refunds or credits will NOT be processed until the returned product(s) is received by ModsDirect.
Where do items need to be returned to?
After submitting a “Return Request” form, ModsDirect will be in touch via email to confirm details for return.
How do I return items?
All returns must be returned to ModsDirect by courier or post. All returns must be trackable. In some instances, ModsDirect may offer a return label.
What about restocking fees?
All returns will incur a fee of 15%. This is to cover fees incurred by ModsDirect for payment processing and handling. We are at the mercy of paying for services used at our website regardless of whether the order remains completed or reversed.
Who pays for return shipping?
All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if a customer has received the incorrect product, ModsDirect will cover return fees and provide a courier pickup at no cost to the customer.
Exchange, Credit or Refund?
If a customer requests a return, they may be eligible for either an exchange, credit or refund based on the nature of the return and product availability. If refunding, moneys will be returned to the customer via the original payment gateway used at checkout.
Can I drop a return off to ModsDirect?
Sorry, no in-store return option is presently available.
I damaged the packaging during unboxing, can I still return?
Unfortunately not. All packing materials must be in resalable condition for a return. Some minor damages such as a neat cut of a package seal may still be eligible for return. Please include a photo of the packaging with your Return Request form.
