The X3M/X4M intake setup from BMW although awkard at first sight, is a very well designed system in the given space available. The flow path from the filters to the turbo inlets is very direct and does not change direction as abruptly as the usual OEM airbox designs. So instead of a complete redesign we focused on improving the OEM airbox with less restrictive flow and improved temperature efficiency. We have developed replacement drop in filters made from non-woven mesh which have a much higher flow rate as compared to the stock paper filters. To help reduce inlet air temperatures and force air into the airbox we designed large front scoops which sit behind the grills. The carbon scoops channel air into the ducts and effectively effectively de-restrict the inlet side of the airbox. The final piece is the carbon airbox lid which although doesn't add to the performance, it does allow for a more audible induction sound and gives the engine bay a much needed aesthetic improvement.

The Eventuri X3M/X4M intake system consists of a number of components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:
Each intake system consists of:
- 1 x Carbon Fiber Airbox Lid

CARBON AIRBOX LID
The Prepreg carbon fiber airbox lid has been recreated using the same dimensions as the OEM version. There is minimal space above the lid to increase the size and in doing so would also disrupt the airflow path. So we kept the same dimensions and maintained the direct flow path to the filters. Since the lid is made from carbon, it is thinner and lighter than the stock lid and so the induction sound of the engine is more audible.
HIGH FLOW FILTERS
We have redeveloped the OEM panel filters using a high flow non-woven filtration mesh which is encased in a highly durable stainless steel mesh. The filtration element allows for less restriction while maintaining suitable filtration properties. The mesh is captured in a Urethane surround which is very stable at high temperatures and retains its shape to allow for an adequate seal at all times. Each set comprises of 2 small and 2 larger filters which fit perfectly inside the OEM filter cartridges.
CARBON AIR SCOOPS
The final carbon components in this system are the front scoops - essential to direct ambient air to the filters.
The scoops were designed for maximum efficiency in directing the incoming air to the stock duct openings. Many aftermarket scoops have a large flat area almost perpendicular to the oncoming air - not great for channeling it into the ducts as the airflow just "hits" this flat portion and creates turbulence.
Unlike most aftermarket "scoops" the Eventuri Scoops have been designed extend from the stock duct openings all the way to the grills. In order to capture as much air as possible, the scoops are shaped to the same contours as the outsides of the grills and then smoothly channel ambient air through a continuous curve to the duct openings. By Forcing ambient air into the airbox, heat soak is reduced and inlet air temperatures are also reduced.
Can I return a product after install?
Once a product has been installed, used or fitted it is no longer returnable.
How long do I have to return a product?
Customers have 7 days inclusive from the day they receive their order to lodge a “Return Request” with ModsDirect. If the return form is approved (notification by email) the item must then be returned within 21 days. All returns must be trackable.
Please note that exchanges, refunds or credits will NOT be processed until the returned product(s) is received by ModsDirect.
Where do items need to be returned to?
After submitting a “Return Request” form, ModsDirect will be in touch via email to confirm details for return.
How do I return items?
All returns must be returned to ModsDirect by courier or post. All returns must be trackable. In some instances, ModsDirect may offer a return label.
What about restocking fees?
All returns will incur a fee of 15%. This is to cover fees incurred by ModsDirect for payment processing and handling. We are at the mercy of paying for services used at our website regardless of whether the order remains completed or reversed.
Who pays for return shipping?
All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if a customer has received the incorrect product, ModsDirect will cover return fees and provide a courier pickup at no cost to the customer.
Exchange, Credit or Refund?
If a customer requests a return, they may be eligible for either an exchange, credit or refund based on the nature of the return and product availability. If refunding, moneys will be returned to the customer via the original payment gateway used at checkout.
Can I drop a return off to ModsDirect?
Sorry, no in-store return option is presently available.
I damaged the packaging during unboxing, can I still return?
Unfortunately not. All packing materials must be in resalable condition for a return. Some minor damages such as a neat cut of a package seal may still be eligible for return. Please include a photo of the packaging with your Return Request form.
